Our Story
Vantage Hotels, started with the Mount Robson Inn in the 1970s, is owned and operated by the Gulevich Family of Jasper for three generations.
Over the years, the Canadian Rockies hotel collection has grown to include the Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise and the Best Western Plus in Valemount, BC.
Vantage Hotels continues to write this story through continual improvements and a desire for travelers, guests and staff, to create their own stories.

Early beginnings in Jasper National Park

2011 - The Mount Robson Inn
Jasper with Bighorn Steakhouse where the Breakfast Room is now.

2012 - The Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise is purchased from the Biro Family of Lake Louise.
The hotel bookends travelers visits on the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Lake Louise.

2012 - the Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise was built in 1968 and only was open to guests for stays in the summer season.
The Lodge was closed during the winter months.

2016 - The Mount Robson Inn gets a new exterior
The Breakfast Room became available for guests in 2018.

2022 - Best Western Valemount Plus
The Gulevich Family acquire whole ownership of the Best Western Plus in Valemount after decades of fractional ownership with other Alberta-based partners.

2023 - Mountaineer Lodge renovation
After years of consistent improvements and renovations, the rooms and suites at the Mountaineer Lodge are fully renovated and up to Vantage Hotels standards. Scroll up to see the same room from 2012. Big improvement, right?
